Seeking Memorial Day weekend exchange - New York City area
Located in "Top of the Hill" neighborhood of scenic, famed resort city of Newport. Quiet, picturesque street lined with stone walls in lovely historic area within easy walking distance of beach, Cliff Walk, downtown, harbor, shopping, restaurants and most area attractions, including the Newport mansions. Downtown and nearby neighborhoods include many 18th-century colonial houses and public and religious buildings, such as the fourth-oldest statehouse (1739) and the oldest synagogue (1763) in the country. Boston 1-1/2 hours and New York City 3-1/2-4 hours away by car or public transport. Garage and off-street parking, two vehicles with resident parking stickers useful for downtown and tourist areas, three bicycles. Half-acre yard features mature trees and garden. We have a gentle, companionable cat, but can arrange care for her elsewhere if needed.

US exchanges:
Seeking,. Weekend or long weekend/holiday exchanges any time period in Metro New York City area--ideally 3-4 days, but can be longer). and San Diego/Point Loma/La Jolla, any time except July/August 2013; Hawaii (1+ weeks), Thanksgiving or Christmas 2013.

International exchanges:
Because of family events in July-August, we will not be able to do a 2013 spring or summer international exchange, and have just made an arrangement for the fall. Christmas 2013 may be possible, but we probably will not know whether we can make an arrangement until summertime. Destinations of interest would be: England, Wales, Switzerland, Austria or France (Paris).
We prefer exchange homes in a city or town or with access to good public transportation.
