Our home is a lovely large late victorian terraced house in the Highbury part of Islington. We have 7 bedrooms (3 doubles and 3 singles). There are 3 bathrooms and an additional washroom. There is a large kitchen/diner and a study and a double drawing room with baby grand piano. We have a back balcony and terrace and very pretty gardens front and back. It is a very nice house and large for central London. 200m away is Canonbury railway station which links into the tube network or can take you directly to Camden, Kew Gardens or Richmond in one direction or the Olympic Stadium, Canary Wharf and Greenwich in the other. Ten minutes on foot is Highbury and Islington Tube station which also links into the network. Kings Cross/ St Pancras and Euston with trains to France, the North of England and Scotland are just one and two stops away. There are many other bus, train and tube links locally and even a canal to stroll along. Oxford Street is 4 stops away and the City within walking distance. The house is a five minute walk between either Highbury Fields and Clissold Park parks, each are great for running, have public swimming pools and sports centres and several tennis courts (membership card available). Islington itself is a great place to return to after sightseeing or to explore. There are many good restaurants and pubs, high quality food and wine shops, two cinemas locally and top theatre and music venues. Premier League football is only a ten minute walk away at The Emirates Stadium and a ticket there can be available in season. We have several bikes and a piano. On any evening one can choose between wandering down the main Upper Street or Essex Road for a meal or a drink, cosier Highbury Barn, lively Stoke Newington Church Street, Newington Green or the Vietnamese and Turkish restaurants on Kingsland Road-all within walking distance. There is a good pub only 150m away from the house.
