HomeLink USA Tip of the Day

Left Quote Hospitality Exchanging is a great way

to ease your way in to

the wonderful world of home swapping.

Welcoming a fellow HomeLinker into your home

while you remain there (and vice versa)

is a great opportunity to meet new people

and removes the element of concern

in welcoming a "stranger" into your home. Right Quote

We live in a picturesque English Village in the South of England with three duckponds, a 200 year old oak common that was planted by Lady Mildmay to replenish the oak after the Battle of Trafalgar, and the village has the oldest continually played cricket pitch in the UK. Hartley Wintney has recently been been awarded the coveted title of the best place to live in England see link: http://news.sky.com/home/uk-news/article/16137016.

Our house is in a semi rural position, 4 minutes walk from the shops in the High Street and fronts an open space (called Hunts Common) that was planted with a selection of old varieties of fruit trees to celebrate the Millenium.

Our house is well situated for visiting London, the train station is 1 1/2 miles away and the journey time is an hour. Stonehenge and the historic towns of Winchester and Windsor are all approximately 40 minutes drive away, as is the main airport London Heathrow. Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon is a two hour drive away, Bath is also a 2 hour drive away and the coast is about an hour to an hour and a half away.
